The news with Casey Anthony and the young Jewish boy in Brooklyn is a nightmare. I try not to even watch the news anymore as its enough to make anyone a recluse with all the evil in the world. What is wrong with people ??? And it’s not anything new, this $hit happens every year. Missing kids, beater parents, kiddieporn weirdos, and WORSE. I wish there were a Dexter for people that commit these crimes. Why not a crazy person that takes out all his pent up aggression on those that choose to hurt children, it would be a perfect match!!
When I was little my sister scared me to death on strangers, we watched Adam and I will never forget it. She knew I would talk to anyone and tell them anything so she was just trying to protect me. It did the trick, but from that moment forward I was paranoia patty (still am), I just don’t trust folks unless I REALLY get to know them. Because of this, I carried on the tradition. When my girls were little I scared them pretty bad about strangers. One of them to the point she wouldn’t go outside without me. This made my husband pretty angry to say the least. Others would tell me I had gone too far, scaring them about the dangers lurking outdoors that “weren’t” as bad as I made them to be, Or that kids shouldnt know about all those bad things, and being told, “you cant be scared of everything”. For a while I thought maybe I was wrong… ten minutes later I realized, NAW. They have a lot of fucking nerve to tell me not to tell my kids the truth about strangers!!
These crazy MF’s are out there and no one know when or where they will strike. I want to know my kids are aware, if they are scared to go outside without me - OH WELL. Better safe than sorry. If anyone were to ever touch one of my kids in any way inappropriately, or hurt them in any way, this mama would go to jail for sure. I would make sure that person suffered immensely. Eye for an Eye all the way for my kids.
My Favorite is in the movie Law Abiding Citizen. The guy’s trauma was so horrific, but boy did he get em !! What an innovative way to deal with it, the blow fish gun being the big favorite. I would think any parent would feel this way. Obviously they are too many out there that don’t and it is sickening. Why not just give them up for adoption or drop them at a fire station? Who cares how old they are for Petes sake, just don’t hurt them!! I pray these bad parents and monster strangers they will meet their own horrific fate someday in the form of lasting torture for all eternity. Though, I can see where those who have lost a child may question if there is a God at all. I certainly would, and I do for them. Why would such a good God allow such terrible things to happen to innocent children? I just don’t get it. Maybe we’re not supposed to, in the mean time I really hope for justice for all of the innocent babies that met such terrible fates and I will continue to make sure my children are SAFE and aware.

Fact: Life goes on
Genesis 3:19 - In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou [art], and unto dust shalt thou return.
When someone you love dies it seems (to me) that everything should STOP. For the person in mourning it often does, not to begin again for sometime depending on how you heal. But for the rest of the world, life goes on. Each day comes, each night. It will continue without you no matter how influential you were, Tomorrow is promised to no man. It has always been this way and will always be. Its a hard concept to grasp. For me anyways. After my sister passed I dont remember much, it was a full year before I came back to some sort of normal and went about my teenage life. My life was forever changed though, as was my entire family. To see how each person deals with it and how it has changed them has been something in itself and I cant explain it. I can say, losing someone young is earthshattering, it makes the concept of how short the time we have here stick out in your mind at all times.
Any time I begin to dwell on the negative I am reminded it could be over this instant. Reminded no matter how pissed I am or broken, I must find a way to love and be thankful in every situation. There is not nearly enough time for me to put into words how I have been affected by my sister dying, I dont know that if I even tried I could. It is odd how in some ways it has made me a better person and in others made me a total spazz.
People die each second in this world, it seems like it should get easier. You would think we should be prepared to handle it and not be so devastated or shocked when it comes, but then we wouldn't be emotional human beings, right ? I imagine most hope to live long lives and quietly drift off in our sleep and this would be what we would hope for those we love as well. Its weird - DEATH. Its scary, its permanent, its inevitable. I am not so much afraid for myself, just for my children. That they be taken care of, that they not be sad or scared, that they would never have to endure pain or suffering. The same as any mother I guess. I take great comfort however in knowing that I am the daughter of the King as are my children and in the end we will all be together, this is what quells my fears.
I love that the Hispanic culture celebrates their dead with Dia de los Muertos. It is much more joyous and freeing to pray and remember, than to be full of grief and sadness over a grave twice a year. Not to say I will never be sad again or be completely devastated if tradgedy occurs but I am going to do my best from now on to choose to pray and remember joyfully. To celebrate my sisters life that was LIVED, to be joyful that I had the opportunity to know her for the time I did. And the same for my other friends and family that have passed. I celebrate your memory and I know I will see you all again.

Fact: Some pictures are worth a thousand words, some, there are no words for.
Pictures always get me.I suppose that is the point , but the really really resonate with me.Once I find an image like that, it is literally burned in my Psyche, I dont ever forget. Sometimes its a good thing because it helps me to remember to be thankful , other times its awful because i flash them all through my head like a photo album and my worry center focuses on all the bad, oftem wrapping me deep in fear. Anyways, I caught this picture of Tsunami in Japan aftermath, one of the many out there right now.
What must this poor girl be feeling. What if this were my child? How can I help her? Will she be okay? How many more are waiting for rescue? How many will die, have died? Why do things like this happen? Why is there always some idiot proclaiming a disaster was some sort of karma?
I am praying for health and safety for this girl. I am praying for all those affected by this disaster. My heart aches for those in these tragedies. How can I help !?! How trivial are my problems !?!

Is it just me or is something maybe wrong here....

My kids and I are flipping through the new BIG TOY BOOK from TOYS R' US and we come across this new holiday treat!
Hasbro has brought back the OUIJA board in stylish new colors just for girls and just in time for Jesus birthday! Boy,what will they think of next? Perhaps the Quran covered in glitter with its very own muslim barbie doll and variety of sparkly berkas ! Or Paranormal Polly Pocket with "spirit friends"? This reminds me of a favorite SNL skit of mine with Dan Akroyd-Consumer Probe ,where he showed off his line of best selling toys like-
"Bag O Broken Glass","Pretty Peggy Ear-Piercing set" and of course "Johnny Switchblade doll-Adventure Punk with 2 real blades that pop out of his sides. Safe because each toy comes with a warning that says "Kid ,Be careful"
For now though all the girls can begin summoning the cemeterial masses for yes or no questions burning in their little brains. Here I thought the old Magic 8 ball sufficed. No, now you can be excited for whats to come from this magical gateway Christmas gift. Just think of the Wiccan rituals of wonderment! Sayonces, Spells, glorious songbird like chants, all the extra candles you'll have around for the next power outage? Your young daughters twisting their hair into dreadlocks, dancing about in circles donning long tye-dyed skirts ,velvet shirts, oversized silver rings with moons /stars and lockets of love potions-resembling 70's-esque Stevie Nicks.
Their first job not at the mall as you had once thought, but at the Renaissance festival! Serving turkey legs with Steins eventually moving up the ladder to be the resident Henna artist or palm reader. Then bringing home the boy who tosses the fire sticks and cleans the jousting pen, only to announce they have fallen in love and will now be traveling nomads with the Renaissance cross country, she will be learning to play the Clavichord in the carnie band "Gypsie Love". Ahhh yes these things Im sure are just the tip of the iceberg, but before she goes off with the renaissance circus folk dont let her forget her pink Christmas Ouija board, the reason for it all !!
